Cut off forehead: Deaf ear will not be allowed anymore, we have to win public

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, said today that communication between citizens and the State Police is improving.

Through a post on social networks, Balla declares that every complaint, every denunciation, is being followed carefully, because according to him, in this way, public trust in the State Police should be revived and strengthened.

Among other things, he expressed his gratitude to dozens of citizens who reported cases or submitted complaints for illegal actions that contradict the Code of Ethics in the State Police and as a result, based on these reports/complaints, many police officers were punished.

"Communication with the public of the State Police is improving. Let's never forget that the public is our irreplaceable partner in protecting the country and every individual, from any type of illegality, from corruption and organized crime, to ordinary crime and to crime against public and private property. The deaf ear and the blind eye of a policeman, the complicit silence of the powerful in the neighborhood and the non-reaction of the law enforcement forces to the citizens' denunciations, are an alignment of the police against them, against the state. Therefore, every complaint, every denunciation, is being followed very carefully, because for me, each one of them is a stone in the great wall of trust that must be rebuilt for the State Police.

I thank dozens of citizens who have reported many cases or filed complaints for suspected illegal actions or that contradict the Code of Ethics in the State Police. In a short time, based on these reports/complaints, we have arrested police officers, as well as expelled for violating ethical norms." - writes Balla./ CNA
