The President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, has spoken with superlatives about the countries of the Western Balkans and about their achievements.

Among them, Von der Leyen also mentioned Albania. As a great achievement, she called Tirana's airport, which she emphasized has the fastest growth in Europe.

"Exactly one year ago we presented the new growth plan for the Western Balkans and the work has started to show the first results. Let us pause for a moment and celebrate these achievements, of which you leaders of the Western Balkans should be very proud.

Tirana is the fastest growing airport in Europe. European companies are settling in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina at a rapid pace. Kosovo, its economic reforms, have been praised by the IMF and are bringing economic benefits. Investments and infrastructure in North Macedonia are a source of inspiration.
