During the first 7 months of 2024, the Audiovisual Media Authority has approved and imposed 27 fines on various audiovisual operators operating in the market.

In a post on social networks, the president of AMA, Armela Krasniqi, says that this first part of the year has been associated with various types of legal violations. 

Among the violations found, she mentions: Broadcasts that incite violence or criminal offenses; broadcasts that violate human dignity and fundamental rights; transmission of content harmful to children & illegal transmissions on the Internet. 

"Violations detected in 7 months. Broadcasts that incite violence or criminal offenses; Broadcasts that violate human dignity and basic rights; Broadcasting of content harmful to children & Illegal Internet broadcasts. During these seven months we also faced OSHMA who have not self-declared the financial statements in the AMA, or who do not fulfill other legal obligations, such as the declaration of the ownership structure. For these reasons, the 7th month of 2024 has been closed with 27 fines for violators of the law will come decreasing in number, we remain persistent in the objectives and purpose of our work for a legal and professional media market", says Krasniqi./ CNA
