The former mayor of the Municipality of Fushë-Arrëzi, Fran Tuci, has served his sentence, after he was convicted for abuse of office together with his two associates, Durim Margjekaj and Ndoc Marku.

It is learned that Tuci has served the sentence of 1 year and 6 months with the time spent in custody. GJKKO accepted the request of the lawyers to cancel the sentence.

Tuci was arrested by order of SPAK on the charge of having caused a damage of 234 million ALL to the state.

"The damage calculated by IKMT Shkodër, after the inspection carried out on the ground, has a significant value of 234,007,500 ALL, which includes the damage to the ground, as well as the deforestation of the surface registered with ASHK, Pukë Local Directorate, as an asset of the type 'Forest "owned by the Fushë-Arrëz Municipality", it was said in the announcement of the Special Prosecutor's Office./  CNA
