Sokol Olldashi, one of the most prominent political figures of the Democratic Party, passed away 10 years ago.

On November 20, 2013, a serious car accident in Krrabë took Olldash's life.

He was one of the personalities who entered politics through the door of journalism and immediately stood out as one of the wisest, most energetic politicians, with a brilliant joke for every occasion.

After leaving his mark in journalism, he served as a deputy of the Albanian Parliament for 3 terms, as Minister of Order and then as Minister of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications.

The student of December '90 made an indelible contribution to the Democratic Party, where he also ran for president in 2013 against Lulzim Basha.

Sokol Olldashi died 10 years ago and with him the dream of a strong opposition died.

One of the most loved figures in the Democratic Party, with extremely large support, with a strong critical voice raised hope for the future of the country.

He sought to reshape the party and create an inventory of contributions for each member, to bring a new spirit, as well as to create a winning and opposing force in the face of power.

The democrats themselves claim today that with Sokol Olldash PD would not be divided, but we would have a stronger opposition and a dignified right-wing in front of the Socialist Party.

His untimely departure left an open wound in the hearts of democrats, friends and citizens.

With the loss of Olldash, PD lost a personality and an affirmed deputy, a different voice within it and a perfectionist in the imperfection of the opposition./ CNA
