The scandal with Sander Lleshaj's 100 million BMW/ The vehicle circulates without insurance

The purchase of a super luxury car for the Minister of Interior, Sander Lleshaj, has revealed a mega-scandal, previously unheard-of at the General Directorate of State Police. Apparently, Minister Lleshaj wanted to walk around Albania in a luxury vehicle, and for this it seems that it was used the State Police.

A few days ago, CNA.al reported how the State Police bought a car worth 100 million Lek, for the Contact Officer at the Albanian Embassy in Germany, but then using an extra-legal scheme, the car was brought to Albania, was registered with Albanian license plates and is used by the Minister of Interior Sander Lleshaj.

Meanwhile, CNA.al has gone further in this investigation, and today we bring other details regarding the scandal, in which is involved Sander Lleshaj. CNA.al was able to verify the data related to this license plate in the Vehicle Insurance Agency.

This vehicle, with license plates AA 976 UT, is not insured in any of the insurance companies in Albania, TPL or Casco. So, the BMW brought from Germany with license plates 0 13-31, which has the license plates AA 976 UT, which is parked in front of the Ministry of Interior, and in front of the parliament, as seen in the photos below, but also with which the minister circulates Interior, Sander Lleshaj, is uninsured.

If a vehicle in Albania is uninsured, it is seized. So it is blocked by the police and the owner are fined. While the example that is being given to us by the Minister of Interior, Sander Lleshaj, who has received a car worth 100 million from the State Police, and comes around without insurance.

On the other hand, CNA.al addressed an official letter to the General Directorate of Road Transport Services (DPSHTRR), regarding the vehicle used by the Minister of Interior. But, with a ridiculous letter, the answer is that these were personal data. In fact, that vehicle is not personal, but it is used by the Minister of Interior.

CNA.al also addressed a letter to the Commissioner for the Right to Information, to oblige the DPSHTRR to provide the requested information regarding the vehicle in question. But, meanwhile from official sources CNA.al has learned that the license plates of the vehicle are owned by another institution, but this is still in a process of verification, also our investigation, and we are also waiting for answers to the request we have addressed to the Police of State, which has made the purchase of the vehicle, and where debates broke out during the procedure of bringing the vehicle to Tirana.

We also remind that CNA.al has previously reported on clashes with several institutions, which have opposed the purchase of the luxury vehicle. It is about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Albanian Embassy in Berlin, which have opposed the purchase of the vehicle.

Also, another person who has strongly debated and opposed the purchase of this vehicle is the former General Director, Aida Hajnaj, who is now in charge of national bureau of investigation (BKH).

There are almost 100 million Lek given by the State Police to buy a vehicle for the Contact Officer in Berlin. But, the vehicle didn?t stay in Germany, but came to Albania. So, the vehicle that Sander Lleshaj holds today, doesn?t belong to the Minister of Interior.

It was purchased for the Contact Officer of the State Police at our embassy in Germany. The vehicle then arrived in Tirana, according to the photos published by CNA.al, it was parked at the General Directorate of Police. And then the vehicle in question was registered with Albanian license plates, and was sent to the Ministry of Interior, to walk on the streets of Albania, Sander Lleshaj.

A flagrant and scandalous case where the Minister of Interior circulates with an uninsured vehicle. In such a case, an ordinary citizen would be arrested, and the vehicle would be seized. While the Minister of Interior, the man who should be a symbol of law enforcement, drives an uninsured car. Do we have the Minister of Interior to maintain order, or we have a ?thief? of cars?/CNA.al
