The scandal/SPAK is “protecting” Ben Blushi

Justice reform, strongly trumpeted by Albanian politics, and with a very strong support from the international community, does not seem to be meeting the expectations of public opinion. Albanians expect from the new justice, investigation and punishment of corruption and injustices done to them in 30 years of democracy. But in fact what is happening, is not at all what the citizens expect.

One of the new justice institutions, the Special Prosecution Office against Organized Crime and Corruption, otherwise known as the SPAK, although six months have passed since its inception, still seems to be asleep.

Prosecutors who claimed that the corrupt would no longer find a ?hole? to hide, in fact seem to be making only a hole in the water. No sensational investigation in more than six months. One example that proves what we said above, is the case of the former politician, now turned into media manager, Ben Blushi.

For several months CNA.al has denounced a complete investigative file, regarding the property of former MP Ben Blushi, who turns out to be an oligarch in the media. But so far from SPAK there is only silence. CNA.al has uncovered the declared wealth of Ben Blushi, during the time that the latter was paid by the taxes of the Albanians, ie from 2003 to 2017, and it turns out that his wealth has increased in a crazy way.

Also, CNA.al has brought other details, regarding apartments, constructions in Tirana, from the property of his family. Evidence released every day shows that it is impossible for a man paid 20 years with a state salary, with official income to enjoy a crazy fortune, which is worth millions of dollars.

Also, we have reported for a property in Korça, the value of which is at least 500 million Lek, but that Ben Blushi has declared it for a value only 30.000 euros, while this property was then rented for 2.000 euros per month.

On the other hand, CNA.al has published other details, regarding a building built in Tirana in 2013, near the former ?Dinamo? Stadium, which is owned by a builder and another character. It is about the father-in-law of Ben Blushi, the late A.Brati.

Further, in May 2020, CNA.al after several complaints from the residents of Dardha, has made another investigation. CNA.al has revealed how Blushi?s wealth has increased by another 250.000 euros.

Below you can see a sale-purchase contract, performed by the notary Zhulieta Mano, number 3331, in 2001, where Ben Blushi bought in Dardha of Korça, a property for 12 million of old Lek (circa 10.000 euros). A two-room property, separated by a corridor, part of a one-house property there.

Blushi invested in that small house and then, using the legal space, makes a request for legalization procedure during the time when Rilindja (Socialist Party) came to power, a land area, for almost 2.000 square meters, in the center of Dardha village. Moreover, there was a clash and conflict with the inhabitants of Dardha. They claim that the area does not belong to Ben Blushi. That this property has owners and heirs. These are two real estate properties, one in Korça and the other in Dardha.

And here we are not talking about his wealth in the capital. We are not talking about another 300 million Lek, which are in second tier banks in the form of treasury bonuses or other millions made through the ways he has been able to manipulate his wealth.

But apparently Ben Blushi does not stop there. Other data came to light few day ago. On

June 15, 2020, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha published the denunciation of a citizen, according to whom, Ben Blushi has ?robbed? land on the sea coast in the south of Albania.

According to the complainant, Ben Blushi has robbed a land in Dhërmi, through forgeries. The denunciation also states that Prime Minister Edi Rama, has fired two mortgage directors in Vlora, after they discovered the falsification of documents and refused to register.

It is also alleged that for this land, Blushi also clashed with the businessman Pandi Carapuli who built there. ?Dear Doctor. I am a mortgage employee in Vlora. A month ago, a big quarrel broke out in our offices for the registration of a property in Dhërmi. It is about 6000 m2 on the coast.

By pressure and blackmail it was recorded after it was forged. So there was displacement. The property is by the sea and ostensibly divided by law 7501. But when we saw the names of the owners we understood how things were. The surface was registered in the name of Ben Blushi and Gazmend Demi.

The scandal broke out in the mortgage, and 2 other directors were fired just for this case. A bag of money was paid. A big clash has started between Blushi and the businessman Pandi Carapuli who has built there. An open theft in the middle of the day in one of the most valuable areas in Albania. Pearls of the Riviera were abducted by Ben Blushi the Co. The property was registered on 06.05.2020?- it is said in the message.

But in the case of Ben Blush, it seems that appetite comes from eating. Four days ago, on July 20, 2020, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha published another denunciation of a citizen against Ben Blushi. According to the complainant, after the property of 6.000 square meters, which was received by Ben Blushi, now his wife in cooperation with an SP official, has acquired 3.000 square meters of land in the south.

These are just some facts that CNA.al has published about the dizzying wealth of Ben Blush, but apparently the justice institutions have neither ears to hear nor eyes to see. A member of the CNA.al staff has dealt exclusively with this file, and all the published materials have been made available to the SPAK institution.

The head of SPAK, Arben Kraja, in a communication with CNA.al has confirmed that the file has been received and will receive legal solutions, but no concrete investigation has been made yet. Ben Blushi?s fortune should be investigated in every penny, as his claim that he has already withdrawn from politics has no value.

Until 2017, Ben Blushi was paid from the taxes of Albanian citizens, and every penny of his wealth must be investigated by the justice authorities.
