Është bërthama e ndritshme e një galaktike që fuqizohet nga një vrimë e zezë gjigante rreth 17 miliardë herë më e madhe se masa e Diellit tonë.

I njohur si J0529-4351, fuqia e objektit u konfirmua në vëzhgimet nga teleskopi në Kili.

Shkencëtarët, duke raportuar në revistën "Nature Astronomy", thonë se vrima e zezë ka një oreks të pangopur, duke konsumuar masën e barabartë me një Diell çdo ditë.

"Është për t'u habitur që ka mbetur i panjohur deri më sot, kur ne tashmë dimë rreth një milion kuazarë më pak mbresëlënës", tha Christopher Onken, një nga astronomët nga Universiteti Kombëtar Australian. 

Termi kuazar përdoret për të përshkruar një galaktikë me një bërthamë shumë aktive dhe energjike. Vrima e zezë në qendër të një galaktike të tillë po e tërheq lëndën drejt vetes me një shpejtësi të jashtëzakonshme.

Ndërsa ky material përshpejtohet rreth vrimës, ai copëtohet dhe lëshon një sasi të madhe drite, aq sa edhe një objekt aq i largët sa J0529-4351 është ende i dukshëm për ne.

Shkencëtarët e përfshirë thonë se energjia e emetuar e bën kuazarin mbi 500 trilionë herë më të shkëlqyeshëm se Dielli./CNA
