Left Real, Alonso is "projected" to the bench of the London club  

After a poor season, where they are currently in ninth place and out of European competition, Chelsea is preparing for significant changes.

The London club remains without a coach after the departure of Rosenior and the directors are analyzing the alternatives for the bench. One of the names that is being mentioned the most is that of Xabi Alonso.

The Spanish coach left Real Madrid this year after an experience that did not meet the expectations of the Madrid club. However, Alonso continues to have a high reputation in European football after his success with Bayer Leverkusen.

He managed to turn the German team into one of the most competitive teams in Europe thanks to his modern style of play. Chelsea see the Spaniard as the ideal profile to build a long-term project and return the team to the highest levels.

Another factor in his favor is his experience in English football, where as a player he won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005.
