"Drama" in Spain, 14 teams risk relegation from La Liga
La Liga is going through one of the most balanced seasons ...

In an extraordinary press conference, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has dismissed all rumors that spoke of a possible resignation.
He revealed that there will be early elections and has called for candidates to run against him.
Regarding allegations of health problems, Perez stated that he feels well and enjoys complete health.
"I have asked the electoral board to start the process to start the elections for the board of directors. At Real Madrid, there is not just one owner, but there are 1,000 members who make up the club. I have taken this decision because an absurd situation has been created, provoked by campaigns against the interests of Real Madrid and against me. The results have not been the best, but in sport, you don't always win. They are taking advantage of the situation to attack me personally. They are saying: 'Where is Florentino?' I don't usually speak openly. Some have even told me that I have terminal cancer... I want to take this opportunity to let those who have been worried about me know that I am still the president of Real Madrid and of my company, and that my health is perfect. I couldn't be in both places if my health wasn't perfect. If I had cancer, as has been said, I would have to go to a cancer center.
I share the disappointment, because we have not been able to win anything this year. But I have to tell you and show you that with me as president we have won 66 titles in football and basketball, including seven European Cups in football. I want to speak to those who are behind this campaign, those who operate in the shadows. Well, let them run in the elections, now they have the opportunity to do so. I will run to defend the interests of Real Madrid.
I ran for Real Madrid so that the members would be in charge. Journalists think they say one thing and people believe them, but people believe me. Some journalists think they interfere in the club's elections because they are so important.
"Here at Real Madrid, the members are in charge as long as I'm here. Whoever wants to run, let them run. But don't tell me behind my back that I look tired, that it's because I work too hard. I have to stop this."
Perez announced that Real Madrid is preparing a voluminous file on the "Negreira" case to send to UEFA.
"Three years ago we learned that we were facing a corruption case like the Negreira case, which is the biggest scandal in history. It is incomprehensible that we still see referees from that era in our league. We are compiling a substantial file that we will immediately present to UEFA.
"We are preparing a 600-page file that I will send to UEFA. There is no precedent for this in world football. The President of the Technical Committee of Referees says we should forget it. But how can we forget it? We won the Super League case, we won at the Court of Justice of the European Union and we went to UEFA to say that we will negotiate. For example, free football, so that children in Africa can watch football for free. And this is not for the good of Real Madrid, it is for the good of football," Perez declared.
