Tottenham chooses new coach, fans protest

Tottenham have announced the departure of Igor Tudor after just seven games in charge. The London club are bottom of the table with just one point from their last five games and just one point above the relegation zone.

The board have identified Roberto De Zerbi as the frontrunner for the job, with a deal expected to be completed soon. According to English media, the contract is expected to be five years with a salary of £12 million per season.

The deal also includes a clause that allows the manager to leave without penalty in the event of relegation. De Zerbi is credited with his work at Brighton, where he helped the club qualify for the Europa League in the 2022-23 season.

However, a section of Tottenham fans oppose his appointment due to previous statements in support of Mason Greenwood.

Meanwhile, the club is also considering alternatives such as Adi Hutter, Sean Dyche and Ryan Mason.
