The championship title and the Champions League, an impossible combination for the Italians

After losing the Champions League final last season, where Inter conceded five goals to Paris Saint-Germain, the debate over the club's priorities has reopened.

Some fans have questioned whether it is worth investing maximum energy in Europe, to the detriment of the race for the championship title.

Federico Dimarco has also stated that he would choose the championship, emphasizing the difficulty of winning the Champions League for an Italian team.

History shows that winning the league and the Champions League has been rare in Italy, only by Inter and Milan on a few occasions. Meanwhile, in other championships such as Spain or England, this achievement has been recorded more frequently in recent years.

Referring to current performance, Inter has won 5 of 10 matches this season in the Champions League and lost the same number.

Compared to recent years under Simone Inzaghi, the statistics show a decline in consistency. Any analysis could be overturned in the event of a title win, but the assessments of European performance remain open.
