Controversy in Italy/ Napoli's goal should not have been disallowed, Milan complains in vain

The Italian Referees Association has analyzed the most controversial episodes of the 26th week in Serie A.

In the Atalanta-Napoli match, referee Chiffi initially awarded a penalty to Napoli for a contact between Hien and Hojlund, but the decision was overturned after a review on the monitor.

According to the official explanation, there was no foul and the Napoli player had requested contact. Another case in this match was the disallowed goal by Gutierrez, for a previous foul, a decision that was considered incorrect in the technical analysis.

In the Milan-Parma match, Troilo's goal was initially disallowed for a foul on Maignan, but was later confirmed after a VAR review, a decision that the analysis deemed correct. The clash between Corvi and Loftus-Cheek was also clarified, considered to be an accidental contact during the game. According to the analysis, there were no elements for a penalty in favor of Milan.
