David is waiting at Juventus, but obstacles appear

Juventus have set their priorities for the summer transfer window, with Canadian striker Jonathan David remaining their main target. The club have reached personal terms with the player, who will be a free agent on June 30th after his contract with Lille expires.

Negotiations on the firm's bonus and agent commissions are still ongoing, with the initial request of 15 million euros considered high by the black and white management. A 3 or 4-year contract with a salary of 6 million euros plus a 2 million annual bonus is envisaged for David.

Juventus are trying to close the deal as soon as possible, possibly before July 3, given the transfer deadlines for the Club World Cup.

The situation could be complicated by Timothy Weah's refusal to move to Nottingham Forest, a move that would help fund the operation for David.
