Bayern in trouble, financial problems for the Germans

Bayern Munich is facing a difficult financial situation, which could result in a first annual loss after many years of positive balance.

According to Sport Bild, the main reason remains high wage costs, which have exceeded the club's current income. Despite new sponsorship deals with EA Sports and Meine Volksbank, the additional income has not been enough to reverse the deficit.

The new contract with Deutsche Telekom, worth up to 325 million euros, will only come into effect from 2027. The expected profits from the Club World Cup of around 40 million euros and income from sales, such as that of Mathys Tel to Tottenham for 35 million euros, are the only real sources for immediate stabilization.

The club is showing restraint in the transfer market, unlike clubs like Liverpool, City and Real Madrid who have invested tens of millions of euros. Bayern's financial future for the 2025–26 season depends on balancing sales and potential reinforcements.
