Controversy over Atalanta, Marotta holds emergency meeting with referees

The 1-1 draw between Inter and Atalanta has created tension in the black and blue camp after several controversial episodes at the end of the match.

President Giuseppe Marotta immediately went down to the locker room and demanded explanations from the referees about Atalanta's goal and the alleged penalty against Davide Frattesi.

Also present at this meeting were Andrea De Marco, the federal coordinator for relations between referees and clubs, as well as observer Andrea Gervasoni.

The meeting lasted about 30 minutes and was initially held between Inter's management and the referees' team. After discussions, the club decided to maintain public silence in order not to further increase tension.

Marotta and coach Cristian Chivu left the stadium at around 7pm, more than two hours after the match ended.

During this time the managers, including Piero Ausilio, Dario Baccin and Riccardo Ferri, stayed in the dressing room to discuss the situation.

A similar situation had occurred after the match against Napoli, but this time the leaders chose not to react publicly.
