World Cup fever, big clubs target Bosnian talent

Kerim Alajbegovic has become one of the most talked about names of the summer transfer market, after attracting interest from several major European clubs.

Chelsea are considered favourites to sign the 18-year-old and are preparing a bid of around €30m. The winger returned to Bayer Leverkusen this summer after the German club activated his buy-back clause from Salzburg and offered him a contract until 2031.

Last season with Salzburg, he played 44 games and scored 13 goals. Alajbegovic also stood out with Bosnia at the World Cup, where he became one of the youngest players to score from outside the area in the tournament's history.

In addition to Chelsea, Atalanta, Napoli and Juventus are also monitoring his situation. Bayer Leverkusen are considering all options, while a decision on the future of the Bosnian talent is expected to be made in the coming weeks.
