World Cup 2026, how much revenue will be collected from the tournament

The 2026 World Cup is expected to have a tremendous economic impact beyond the sporting aspect.

The tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, is estimated to generate over $80 billion in economic activity.

Revenue will come from television rights, sponsorships, ticket sales, tourism and public investment related to the organization of the competition. The World Cup, which starts on June 11, is considered the largest edition ever held.

According to forecasts, the event will contribute to the creation of around 824,000 full-time jobs in the three host countries. The benefits will extend to various sectors, including security, technology, healthcare, logistics and the hospitality industry.

The greatest economic impact is expected to be concentrated in cities like New York, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Miami.
