Florian Lata will referee the U-17 European Championship final between Belgium

Albanian referee Florian Lata will referee the final of the U-17 European Championship "Estonia 2026", one of the most important matches on the UEFA youth football calendar.

The final between Belgium and Italy will be played on June 7 at the Lillekula Stadium in Tallinn, at 19:00. Florian Lata has been appointed as the main referee, while the Albanian assistant Mario Shazivari will also be on the refereeing team. The second assistant will be Nikola Borovic from Serbia, while the fourth referee will be Thomas Gary Owen from Wales.

This appointment comes after Florian Lata's excellent performances during the final tournament in Estonia. The Albanian referee officiated the opening match of the European U-17 Championship between Estonia and Croatia on May 28, while on June 1 he was also the main referee in the France-Montenegro match.

UEFA's confidence in entrusting Florian Lata with the management of the final is an important assessment of his performance during the tournament, but also another proof of the growing level of Albanian refereeing in the international arena.
