Loaned to Mallorca, Kumbulla's future is decided

Albanian national team centerback Marash Kumbulla will return to Roma after the end of his loan at Mallorca.

The Spanish club has decided not to activate the option to buy the Albanian defender. To finally transfer Kumbulla, Mallorca had to pay 6 million euros, plus 2 million euros in bonuses.

The 26-year-old had a mixed season in La Liga, but managed to accumulate important minutes after recovering from injuries. In the latter part of the season, he suffered another injury that kept him away from the field.

His future now remains open and a decision will be made by Roma during the summer transfer window. The Italian club will assess whether to keep him in the squad or consider other offers for the Albanian defender.
