Victory over Inter, Allegri enters Milan history

Milan's 1-0 derby victory over Inter gave Massimiliano Allegri his 100th success on the red and black bench, placing him among the most successful coaches in the club's history.

With this achievement, he joins the likes of Ancelotti, Capello, Sacchi, Rocco, Pioli and Liedholm. The match was decided by Christian Pulisic, who took advantage of a rebound from Sommer.

The win moves Milan up to second place with 25 points, level with Napoli and two behind leaders Roma. Pulisic continues to be crucial in the derby, scoring three times against Inter in different matches.

Statistics and some historical coincidences add optimism for Allegri's team, although the championship is still long.

Milan needed a win after the draw with Parma and the derby served as a good starting point towards their seasonal objectives.
