2025, the year of the National Team! The Rossoneri's performance in numbers

The Albanian national team secured its first ever participation in the play-off phase of a World Cup. The Red and Blacks finished second in Group K, with a total of 14 points from 8 matches.

This is a historic achievement for Albania, which, in addition to securing participation in the 2025 play-offs, has also set several other records.

The national team closed these qualifiers with only two losses, those against England, while in the other 6 matches it secured 4 wins and two draws.

For the first time in the history of these qualifiers, the Rossoneri closed the season with a positive goal difference. 7 goals scored and only 5 conceded.

The year 2025 was very positive for Albania, as for the first time the red and blacks won five consecutive victories. Against Gibraltar (0-1), Latvia (1-0), Serbia (0-1), Jordan (4-2) and Andorra (0-1).

The Albanian national team will return to the field on March 26 against Poland, in a match valid for the World Cup play-off phase. If Albania successfully overcomes Poland, in the play-off final that will send them to the 2026 World Cup, they will play against the winner of the Ukraine/Sweden pair.
