Pochettino's future, US decision revealed

Mauricio Pochettino is expected to hold talks with the U.S. Soccer Federation over his future following the U.S.'s elimination from the World Cup.

The US national team was eliminated in the round of 16 after a crushing 4-1 defeat to Belgium. The Argentine coach's current contract expires at the end of this World Cup.

In an official statement, the Federation confirmed that it had held positive talks with Pochettino even before the start of the tournament. The parties have agreed that discussions on the continuation of the collaboration will take place after a period of reflection.

The US federation expressed respect and appreciation for the work of the coach and his staff. According to reports, the 54-year-old has been offered a new four-year contract, which would keep him in charge until the 2030 World Cup.
