France complains to FIFA, demands removal of card

The French Football Federation has asked FIFA to overturn Michael Oliseh's yellow card, received in the match against Paraguay in the round of 16 of the World Cup.

According to reports, the French federation claims that the Bayern Munich player was unfairly punished after an incident with Matias Galarza in extra time of the match.

French officials argue that video evidence shows there was no contact between the two players. The issue is considered crucial to the tournament's continuity. Should Oliseh receive another yellow card in the quarter-final against Morocco, he will miss a possible semi-final.

For this reason, the French Federation has officially submitted the request to FIFA. The objective is to prevent the player from having to pay a penalty that is considered wrong. FIFA's decision on this case is now awaited.
