Argentina-Egypt lineups, Messi versus Salah

The Argentina national team will take to the field today to face Egypt, in a match valid for the 1/8 stage of the World Cup.

The defending champions are aiming to advance to the quarter-finals as a step towards defending their title from last year. However, the Latin American team comes into this challenge after several below-par performances during the group stage.

In terms of technical choices, coach Lionel Scaloni has decided to once again trust striker Julian Alvarez for the first line of attack.

This decision comes despite criticism of his poor form during the tournament. On the other hand, players like Lautaro Martínez and Nico Paz will once again start this match from the bench.
