Bayern stunned in friendly, defeated by third division team

The giants Bayern Munich have started the preparatory phase with a loss, after being defeated in their first friendly match.

The match, held at the "BRITA-Arena" stadium, ended with a 2-1 victory for the home team Wehen Wiesbaden. The team competing in the German third division opened the challenge in the 10th minute thanks to a goal scored by Ati Allah.

The Bundesliga giants responded in the second half, when Tom Bischof temporarily equalised with a penalty kick. However, five minutes from the end of regulation, a mistake by goalkeeper Sven Ulreich allowed Schleimer to seal the victory for the home team.

For this match, the Bavarian coaching staff preferred not to field the stars of the first team, activating mainly young players from the academy. The only exceptions were midfielders Tom Bischof and Joao Palhinha, who were the only known names in the squad.
