Anxiety for Gjimshiti, the defender is transported to the hospital

Anxiety for Atalanta and the Albanian National Team after Berat Gjimshiti's injury in the 2-0 win over Torino.

The red and black defender was forced to leave the field before the end of the first half, after an aerial collision with Duvan Zapata. After the episode, Gjimshiti showed difficulty walking and was replaced three minutes later by Isak Hien.

According to initial information, it is an injury to the left thigh bone, which also involves the oblique abdominal muscle. The footballer was taken to hospital for detailed examinations.

Medical examinations ruled out a fracture. Recovery time will be determined in the coming days.

Gjimshiti is expected to return in early February, which is also important for the Albanian National Team.
