Only officialization is missing, Lookman closes with Atalanta and Italy

Ademola Lookman is once again one of the most talked about names in the Atalanta transfer market. After a long and complicated summer, characterized by failed negotiations with Inter, the Nigerian striker could leave Bergamo and Serie A during this winter transfer window.

The concrete interest comes from Turkey, where Fenerbahçe has decided to invest heavily in the offensive department.

The Istanbul club is seriously pursuing Lookman and is determined to transfer him this summer. Fenerbahçe has made significant progress in talks with the player's entourage and the parties are close to an agreement on personal terms.

For Lookman, a salary of around 9 million euros per season is about to be agreed, a much higher figure compared to the around 2.5 million euros he currently earns at Atalanta.

At this point, the focus shifts to negotiations between the two clubs. Fenerbahçe must find an agreement with Atalanta on the transfer formula.

The Bergamo club prefers a final sale, while the Turkish leaders are pushing for a loan with a fee of around 5 million euros, accompanied by the right or obligation to buy worth around 37 million euros. A meeting between the parties could take place as early as next week.

Fenerbahçe is showing itself to be very active in the Serie A market. Only in the last few hours has it formalized the purchase of Mateo Genduzi from Lazio, while days ago it had also explored the Nkunku track.

Milan's request of around €35 ??million for that operation has caused the Turkish club to back down and focus on other targets, with Lookman currently seen as the top priority.

Meanwhile, the 1997-born player is currently involved with Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations. Despite this, his club situation remains open and evolving.

The transfer market is still in an active phase and the coming days are expected to be decisive for Lukman's future, with a transfer to Turkey remaining a concrete scenario.
