Political scientist and philosopher Lea Ypi has revealed more details about the writing of her book "Free".

During an interview with journalist Drini Zeqo, the philosopher said that the idea for this book was born during the pandemic period, where she was in Berlin doing scientific research for a philosophical book.

Ypi stated that we live in a society that has an unsustainable development model and that does not give equal freedom to all those subject to the laws in this system.

“Është një shoqëri që ka një model zhvillimi jo të qëndrueshëm dhe që nuk jep liri të barabartë të gjithë atyre që i nënshtrohen ligjeve në këtë system. Mendoj se në shoqëritë në të cilat ne jetojmë raporti  mes pushtetit ekonomik dhe atij politik është i tillë që liria nuk vjen për të gjithë dhe në fakt për shumicën dërrmuese të njerëzve nuk vjen fare pasi ka pabarazi ekonomike që nuk i japin përfaqësim atyre", ka thënë Ypi. 

E pyetur nga vjen liria, Ypi ka thënë se liria ka një dimension që ka të bëjë me të qënit njeri dhe me dinjitetin.

“Liria ka një dimension moral që ne kemi në të gjitha sistemet që janë brenda qënies njerëzore që kanë të bëjnë me dinjitetin e të qënit njeri dhe që asnjë sistem sado totalitar sadoi shtypës nuk e merr dot”, ka deklaruar Ypi.
