Nutrition as a strategy to strengthen the immune system

Our immune system is complex and composed of the ideal balance of many physical, genetic, environmental factors as well as physical activity and nutrition.

Eating a variety of foods as part of the diet is essential for the health and functioning of all body cells, but immune cells in particular.

Foods that have been identified as critical to the growth and function of immune cells include:

- Iron

- Proteins, etc

 These nutrients act as mediators and accelerators in various reactions and as antioxidants to protect healthy cells, support the growth and activity of immune cells, and serve as building materials in the production of antibodies.
