How many cups of coffee protect us from stress?

A new study suggests that moderate coffee consumption may help protect the body from the effects of stress, due to the bioactive compounds and antioxidants contained in coffee.

According to research, 1 to 3 cups of coffee per day appears to be the amount associated with health benefits and a better body response to stress. Coffee contains substances that may affect how the body copes with inflammation and oxidative stress.

Moderate coffee consumption is associated with reduced inflammation and oxidative stress, two factors linked to many diseases.

The benefits are mainly observed with regular and moderate consumption, not in very large quantities.

Larger amounts do not appear to provide additional benefits and may cause nervousness, anxiety, or sleep problems.
