The budget for social protection is increased/ Manastirliu: New support policy

The Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu, at the hearing in the Committee for Work, Social Affairs and Health, said that the 2023 budget will support a new policy to support mothers with many children.

“Me buxhetin 2023 financojmë politikën e re, të mbështetur nga nisma e Këshillimit Kombëtar, për mbështetjen e grave të papuna me 3 dhe më shumë fëmijë. Ky program planifikon të financohet në vlerën 600 milion lekë dhe mbështet cdo grua me 3 apo më shumë fëmijë deri 18 vjec, të papuna, me të ardhura familjare deri në 100 mijë lekë/muaj, duke subvencionuar nga shteti masën e kontributeve shoqërore dhe shëndetësore, si një mbështetje direkte për kujdesin në 5 vitet e para të femijës.

Duke folur për buxhetin e vitit 2023 për mbrojtjen sociale, Manastirliu tha se ka një rritje krahasuar me atë vitit 2022 dhe një rritje prej 5.5 miliard lekë më shumë krahasuar me vitin 2013.

"The 2023 budget finances 30.6 billion lek for social protection and inclusion programs, which aims to ensure the increase of the social shield for the needy strata, with a focus on children, mothers with more children, the elderly, persons with disabilities and families in need thus supporting more than 220 thousand citizens and families. The 2023 budget for these programs has increased by 10.3% compared to the 2022 budget, and if we make a comparison with 2013, the budget for the social protection scheme has increased by 5.5 billion lek more," said Manastirliu.
