After 5 minutes, the egg white is set, the yolk is less runny than at 3 minutes and has a bright orange color. After 7 minutes (about 10 minutes), the yolk is boiled and has a bright yellow color.

Boiling eggs is a cooking method that adds no extra calories or fat, as no oil or butter is used. Although there is a slight loss of nutrients such as vitamins and minerals during cooking, this loss is relatively small, according to medical author Shaziya Allarakha, allowing eggs to retain their high nutritional value.
