If you are addicted to coffee and the first thing you do in the morning is to consume your cup of coffee, experts show you some ways to avoid this habit.

• Consume leafy vegetables. Eating spinach and kale gives the body a boost of vitamin B, which helps create energy, says WebMD. You can blend vegetables into a smoothie.

• Drink a large glass of water. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, so start your day well hydrated and stay hydrated throughout the day.

• Start the day with a protein-rich breakfast. Choose foods that are naturally low in sugar and contain carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats, says Northeastern Medicine. A cup of low-fat yogurt with sugar-free granola or an apple with peanut butter are good choices.
