The registration process at the Korça Technical and Vocational School has been going well this school year. The school's deputy director, Pranvera Zhurka, says that there is a high interest among students in the courses offered by the institution.
All branches have been opened, including vehicle services, electrical engineering, information technology, mechanics, construction, and thermohydraulics. However, the most sought-after this year have been the vehicle services and thermohydraulics departments.
" So far, registrations at the Korça Vocational Technical School have been good. There is a high interest in choosing the majors of our school. We have opened all the majors, which are transportation vehicle services, electrotechnics, information technology, mechanics, construction and thermohydraulics. There has been more interest in these majors for transportation vehicle services and thermohydraulics ," said Deputy Director Zhurka.
The innovation for this school year is the opening of the fifth level of professional qualification for vehicle servicing, which deals with diagnostics and management of car services in the dual system. This program accepts students who have previously graduated from this field, but also young people who have work experience in the relevant field.
" The novelty for this year is that we have been approved to open the 5th level of the qualification for vehicle service management, which is diagnostics, car service management in the dual system. This qualification accepts students who have completed this course, as well as all other young people who have work experience in this field. After completing this qualification, they will have the right to manage a car service, so they receive a license for this field. The student completes all the modules of this 5th level in the system and will be supervised by mentors in the business. The benefit is that students will be employed if they agree, until they are able to open their own business ", said Zhurka.
After completing this level, young people will receive a license to manage a car service and will benefit from the opportunity for immediate employment from the businesses where they will complete their internships.
This level of qualification is seen as a concrete opportunity to cope with new technological developments, including electric cars, which require more advanced knowledge directly applied to the labor market.
" If we look at the development of technology in recent years, it is at faster pace. We see that today we have electric cars, in the 4-year system they are made to some extent, but in the 5th qualification they will be more advanced and directly in business, where they will be monitored by engineers of this craft ," declared the deputy director.
With the opening of the fifth level of qualification, the Korça Technical and Professional School not only provides students with new development opportunities, but also creates bridges of cooperation with business, preparing young people for the labor market and for opening their own businesses in the future. Registrations continue until September 30./ CNA
