Shëngjin, the season continues in September

The beginning of September has brought many vacationers to the beach of Shëngjin.

August doesn't seem to have closed the tourist season on this beach. The coastline from Rana to Kune continues to be populated with vacationers during this September 1st.

Tour operators say September is proving to be a good month for businesses, extending the season beyond the traditional summer months. Bookings are almost sold out for the first half of the month.

" We actually closed a 3-month season with an extraordinary influx. It's September 1st and the typical expression that summer doesn't end with August is true. Today we have over 100 new arrivals and the interest is extraordinary. I believe that the first half of September is good and if the weather favors us, the second half of the month will be positive as well ," said Xhulio Nikolli, a resort manager.

 

" Expectations for September are almost the same as August. We have reservations until the end of September. We have 70% foreigners and 30% Albanians in general. We have had requests even at the beginning of this month ," said Besnik Sula, a tourist operator.

 

Shëngjin is mainly frequented by vacationers from Kosovo, but in recent years there has also been an influx from various EU countries.

Favored by good conditions, the beach is expected to continue throughout September./ CNA
