"The magnifying glass is placed on the opposition"/ Lutfi Dervishi: We don't know when we will have a good pair of elections

Democratic Party MP, Gjin Gjoni, has emphasized the need for a deep reform of the party, linking this process to future developments, including the DP elections.
According to him, there is a broad belief within the party structures that changes are necessary. He underlines that a commission has been established for statutory changes, while he does not rule out radical interventions in the internal functioning of the DP.
Gjoni is critical of the way the party is currently run, noting that a small group of individuals dominates decision-making. According to him, this “closed circle” controls representation in important political activities, meetings and processes, leaving out the rest of the structures.
In this context, he appeals for a complete opening and reorganization of the Democratic Party, warning that if this does not happen, its future may be at risk, especially in relation to coming to power.
The DP MP also emphasizes that he is in constant contact with citizens in different areas of the country, where, according to him, the same concern is repeated: the same political figures are mentioned in every meeting.
" I agree on one point that the Democratic Party needs reform, this is what I, my colleagues, the deputies and the people in the DP structures believe. That is why a commission has been created for statutory changes and there may be radical changes, there may be patches or simply unnecessary adjustments, but that the DP requires openness and total reorganization, I do not question this. I understand every day that I am inside, because the entire DP policy is involved in a mechanism of people who are a social group that revolves around the same place, in a closed cycle. 10 people are those who revolve around each other. These people go to meetings, conferences, meetings with foreigners, these people appoint each other, they appoint groups, while the rest almost only make their own decisions. For me, this must change. If this does not change in the DP, I affirm it, I think that things are going to go badly. If we want the Democratic Party to come to power. o I am in contact with "daily with citizens, not only in Tirana, Lezhë, Shkodra and Mirdita. If you go to meetings, I had a debate with a former foreign minister of the DP and he told me that these are 10-15 figures that in every environment you go, the same names are mentioned," said Gjoni./CNA
