The Socialist Party candidate for the Municipality of Vlora, Brunilda Mersini, has spoken about her campaign.

Mersini, in a television appearance, stated that the socialist team for the elections for the Municipality of Vlora also includes former mayor Ermal Dredha.

The socialist candidate stated that Dredha is an important part of the team and said that the mandate will be a continuation of Dredha's work.

Further, Mersini said that city planning must be balanced, a balance that will be based on the projects initiated by Dredha, when the latter was at the head of the municipality.

" Mr. Dredha is already part of the team and a very important part, since even the one-year mandate of the future mayor will be a continuation of his work and without a doubt his contribution is of great value because something in the city needs to change. And what I think is the basic goal. I think that the municipality should be efficient, react in time and have professionalism. I have thought that there is a kind of parasitism in the municipal institutions, in the way it reacts and that is the Achilles heel in this city, which is cleaning. And to do this, human resources are a very important element. In my analysis and the information that I have shared with Mr. Dredha, I think that we need to manage the city through two important points. The first point is the coastal area and the other important part is the neighborhoods and urban areas. Because Vlora has had an inequality in city planning, because we have forgotten the suburbs. This must be balanced in the ongoing projects of 2026, projects that Ermali has started and are continuing, but also projects "others that belong to the new mayor ," Mersini said./CNA
