The leader of the Democratic Party and the opposition, Sali Berisha, made serious accusations today regarding the parliamentary elections of May 11. In a statement to the media from the DP headquarters, Berisha said that the elections are hijacked by criminal organizations.

Berisha stated that on May 11, an electoral farce was organized in Albania by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Berisha added that the DP and the opposition are preparing a powerful fight to protect the right to vote and Albanians.

"There are devastating decisions and documents about the electoral farce of May 11 organized by Edi Rama. I express my appreciation to the opposition commissioners, who under conditions of all-round pressure are performing their duty and I invite them to perform it to the end. To protect the vote of Albanians and we are legally obliged to protect it. Let us prove to the world the unprecedented farce and the electoral farce that Edi Rama's drug regime organized on May 11, 2025. The Democratic Party and the opposition are preparing a powerful fight to protect the right to vote and Albanians. There have been equally serious problems, even more serious. Elections captured by the most powerful criminal organizations that have billions of euros in their underground accounts. The law will be terrible for them.
