Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated Prime Minister Edi Rama on the results of the May 11 elections.

Zelensky calls Rama's victory convincing.

"Congratulations to Edi Rama and the Socialist Party on the convincing victory in the elections. I wish you success in serving the Albanian people. We appreciate your clear and unwavering stance on the need for lasting peace for Ukraine, which can be achieved through a complete and unconditional ceasefire. I look forward to further strengthening the friendly relations between our countries for the benefit of both our nations," Zelensky wrote.

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted to this congratulation and expressed that it is an honor for him to continue to stand with Ukraine at a crucial time.

"It is an honor to be counted among your friends and even more so to stand with Ukraine in these crucial times."

I look forward to welcoming you this week in Tirana, which is and will always be your second home," Rama writes./ CNA
