The vote of immigrants/Bylykbashi raises doubts: This is how they robbed the

Albanian immigrants living outside Albania's borders will have the opportunity to vote for the first time in the parliamentary elections on May 11. The registration process by the CEC has begun, while the opposition has its claims regarding the transparency of this process.

In a television appearance, Oerd Bylykbashi raised concerns about identity cards and the fact that those whose cards have expired cannot vote. Bylykbashi calls for tolerance regarding identity cards, given that there are 600,000 Albanians whose cards have expired.

"While the law is strict and says that anyone with a valid document can register. A large portion have expired documents. Fortunately, ODIHR tells us that 600,000 people have expired documents.

This is the government's duty. In 2021 and 2023, in a similar situation, it issued a decision to extend the validity period of the expired document only for voting. In Himara, they left 6,000 people without voting and robbed the municipality.

The government should adopt an act to solve the problem before January 11. The constitution states that Albanian citizens have the right to vote.

"The SP will leave out those who do not have documents and renew only those who have patronage. The ministry has issued mobile consulates, something illegal. They only take those who want them," said Bylykbashi.
