"The Diaspora Vote is a DP initiative"/ MP Baçi: All Albanians

Democratic Party MP Luan Baci stressed that the Diaspora vote is very important, while expressing his conviction that immigrants will vote en masse for the opposition. On the other hand, Baci once again underlined the demand that all Albanians who are registered to vote in the May 11 elections.

"The diaspora vote is very important and was an initiative of the DP. We want Albanian citizens who do not have a passport or identification to vote. There are many Albanian citizens who have a document from foreign countries and are registered in the civil registry of Albania.

All Albanians who are on our registers should vote. The majority did not want the diaspora vote at all. Every Albanian should have the right to vote. Albanians in the diaspora have left this government, so the overwhelming majority of the diaspora votes are for the DP.

"The SP demands the failure of the diaspora vote. We will file complaints in every case, if there are abuses in the diaspora. The SP uses state funds and institutions for elections. We have a "war" with the SP, we are facing the SP and not the DP facing the state," said Baçi. /CNA
