Rama: Don't ignore the thieves' organization
Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj

Prime Minister Rama, after crying over the lynching of Erion Veliaj, saying that his family is being violated by the media that denounces corruption affairs, today again came to his defense from the opposition, which has held 44 protests in front of the Tirana Municipality, precisely against the mayor for whom SPAK says that 4 charges are being filed based on the investigations that are being conducted, that of active corruption, passive corruption, concealment of assets and money laundering.

According to Rama, the opposition that protests every week against Veliaj is like garlic to the Municipality of Tirana, so they ignore it.

"You're absolutely right, it's become a bit of a fad here. A handful of people come out, take over the road, and then the rest have to wait for them to disperse, what do we do now?"

They have become like garlic to the Municipality of Tirana and they do the garlic's job so that they don't get noticed.

"People who deal with walls, fall on chairs, tables. What is this, the opposition? It has nothing to do with the opposition, it has nothing to do with ideas, it has nothing to do with the program, with the future, it has nothing to do with alternatives, it's quack quack quack," Rama said.

After this statement by Mr. Rama, the question arises, why should they take into account an organization of thieves and the head of the thieves' directors?

For the fact that they have stolen millions of lek from the taxes of poor Albanians?

Who abused and misused their office?

Who have turned the Municipality of Tirana into a pit of corruption, the chain of command of an institution where most of them have ended up behind bars?

Is the prime minister afraid that Erion Veliaj will be ignored, due to the fact that he is under investigation for his assets, or because SPAK says he is accused of 4 serious criminal offenses such as passive corruption, active corruption, money laundering, and concealment of assets?

Or is it because Veliaj's thieving directors, according to SPAK, are a structured criminal group?

The facts and denunciations are now public and the ongoing investigations by the judiciary show that the injustices are great.

The opposition is one of the denouncers of these affairs and, as it has declared, will continue its mission and battle until Erion Veliaj leaves and faces justice.

Affairs like the incinerators, the "5D" file, or the "May 5" theater collapses, cannot go unpunished./ CNA
