Financing for Agriculture/ Rama: The Government will cover 70% of the loan

Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama held a roundtable discussion organized by the Bank of Albania on financing in agriculture, where through a banking instrument with a financing line of 250 million euros, investments in greenhouses, agro-processing, fishing, aquaculture, agrotourism, technological innovation in the service of rural development will be supported. In his speech, Rama emphasized that, with the support of the government through a sovereign guarantee, it will cover 70% of the principal of the loan for the Agriculture sector.

The Prime Minister further stated that the aim is to achieve 1 billion euros in exports.

"Today we are at a moment where, after several chain meetings, we have a coordinated product between the new financing line of the Bank of Albania and the support that the government will provide, achieving that through the sovereign guarantee it will cover 70% of the loan principal. We are aiming for 1 billion euros in exports," said Rama./ CNA
