Financing for Agriculture/ Rama: The Government will cover 70% of the loan principal

Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj, at the roundtable discussion organized by the Bank of Albania on financing in Agriculture, stated that this sector is facing a series of challenges.
Malaj emphasized that more needs to be done for this sector.
"We aim to breathe life into lending, which is key to the economic development of our country."
Agriculture has a large share in the economic and social sector, we have planned in our budget more expenses, 146 million euros for the farmers' scheme, 4.4 billion lek have been allocated to increase it to 5.1 billion lek in 2027.
We are aware that agriculture is facing a number of challenges.
The banking market has been limited in terms of lending to this key sector of the economy.
