The acting President of the Constitutional Court, Holta Zaçaj, today presented the institution's report for 2024. Details were shared at a press conference.

Zaçaj described 2024 as a dynamic year for the Constitutional Court. The average time it takes for a case to be heard is 8 months.

He further stated that the court does not have a backlog of cases beyond the deadlines and that despite the workload, the cases have been reviewed.

Zaçcaj emphasized that, regarding the controls of the functioning of the Assembly, several violations were found regarding the establishment and functioning of parliamentary committees.

Zaçaj added that efforts have been made to fulfill the conditions for the court's work.

"We don't have a stock of overdue issues.

Despite the workload, issues have been reviewed.

The check was made in the abstract of the Assembly's regulations.

The principle of parliamentary democracy is put in the balance.

Several violations were found regarding the establishment and functioning of parliamentary committees.

Violations were found in the assembly's obligations for permission from court summonses.

"He has made efforts to fulfill the conditions for the work of the court," said Zaçaj. /CNA
