The chairman of the Socialist Party of Tirana and the political leader of the District, Erion Veliaj, mocked the chairman of the PD Sali Berisha during a meeting, where he officially presented the new candidates for the Municipal Council of the capital.

Veliaj said from the Lake Park Summer Theater that Berisha wants the City Hall to declare war on America, which has declared it 'non grata'.

“‘Qoftë largu’ apo ‘larg qofti’, quajeni si të doni, na thoshte na jepni votën që t’i hapim luftë Amerikës. Ne nuk e duam Bashkinë që t’i hapim luftë Amerikës, Anglisë apo Qeverisë sonë, por e duam që ta forcojmë bashkëpunimin. Një votë për PS është një votë për bashkëpunim, për punë, për ta ndihmuar njeri-tjetrin, për ta financuar qytetin, për të mbështetur vendimet e qytetit. Jo si kokë dashi, jo si vare, jo si çekiç, jo si kazëm, për të shkatërruar dhe për t’u përleshur me njëri-tjetrin.
