One month before the elections, Prime Minister Edi Rama promised doctors and nurses an increase in salaries.

In a meeting with the white shirts, Rama declared that the salary of general practitioners will increase by 59,000 ALL to reach 111,000 ALL.

On the other hand, the Prime Minister has declared that the salary of nurses should go up to 72 thousand ALL.

" You have heard that we have approved a salary increase, it is a historic salary increase. Opportunities increase the more effort. This wage increase aims at a sustainable growth of the economy. You were the one who faced the strongest blow, the pandemic. We have made a salary increase for specialist doctors, on the other hand, I have a commitment to keep for doctors and nurses in general and this will be done. The salary of specialist doctors will increase by 59 thousand ALL to reach 111,000 thousand ALL. The salary of the nurses will be 72 thousand ALL. Our aim is for the average salary to go up to 900 euros. It's not the 900 euros of Germany, but the houses in Germany, the transport want more euros, the coffees want more euros, even the conversation doesn't work like in Albania. This compensates to some extent", he said./ CNA.al
