The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, published today, at the meeting of the Municipal Council, two invoices, which show that the people of Shkodër pay more taxes than a family in Tirana, raising another question: Why the PD, which leads from years the Municipality of Shkodra, does not provide free bus transport in this city, since the taxes are also higher?

From the verification of Veliaj, it results that a citizen of Shkodra pays 708 new lek in tax on the water bill, while a family in Tirana pays only 484 new lek in total, if they have a large apartment, it can be even less depending on the square meters.

"I asked them: Tell us how to get a free bus in Shkodër, where there is only one line, not 39 like in Tirana. But now they come up with another theory and say: We have no opportunity because our taxes are much lower than Tirana. I was the first to think, it's really dangerous, maybe they have lower taxes in Shkodër. But at some point I said why not check it myself and received two invoices: UKT invoice (for Tirana) and UKSH invoice (for Shkodra), where municipal taxes are collected. In Shkodër, the tax and family fee (it doesn't even say the specification for what) is 708 new lek. So, 7 thousand lek of old taxes per family. Let's see how it compares with ours: We have them specified, so we have a cleaning fee of 100 new lek, plus the Temporary Education Infrastructure Tax 150 new lek (this was also the case in Luli's time as the green tax) and the tax for the building 250 new lek, according to the relevant square meters (the case we are talking about is a large house , but this tax can be even smaller if the house has fewer square meters).
