Anti-Albanian shouts in Kumanovo/Bushati: A clear manifestation of ethnic hatred

Former Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati has reacted after the serious incident in Kumanovo, where anti-Albanian chants were heard during a basketball game.

Through a post on social media, Bushati describes it as a manifestation of ethnic hatred.

Bushati is also critical of the lack of proper reaction of the officials present at the match.

"What happened during the basketball game in Kumanovo was a clear manifestation of ethnic hatred. The chants "Good Albanian, dead Albanian" and "Gas chamber for Albanians" are not only offensive, but constitute a serious threat to democratic coexistence and equality between Macedonians and Albanians as two state-building communities in. Moreover, the silence of high-ranking officials who witnessed this "gallery of shame" is unacceptable. Proof of the fact that they have not learned the right lessons from the bitter events of the past", - writes Bushati. /CNA
